Nate Sudfeld

Let me start with this; Jacoby is our starter. Also, Kelly looked really good. Having said that, he's suspended for two games and is one more strike from being out of the league. We could use another backup and Phillip Walker, as much as I hate to say this, is not an NFL caliber QB.

Eagles writers are already predicting the Colts will trade for former IU QB and current Eagles backup Nate Sudfeld. He's only 25 years old, has a good relationship with Reich from Philly (Reich and Doug Pederson were the reasons he signed with Philly), and if you remember we tried to poach him off of the Eagles PS a few years back only for Philly to bring him up to their active roster to keep from losing him. They then let Foles walk this season and had Sudfeld slotted as the backup QB.

Unfortunately he broke his wrist on his non-throwing hand in week 1 of the preseason and was projected to be out for six weeks. The Eagles then brought Josh McCown out of retirement and along with their draft pick Clayton Thorson and Cody Kessler, they have a crowded QB room and could be looking to create some room. I agree it would be a good idea to potentially trade for Sudfeld, maybe one of our extra corners or safeties or maybe even a guy like Marcus Johnson who has a history with them and is unlikely to make our roster.
