In their customary preseason week four matchup, the Colts take on the Bengals before turning their attention to their week one road contest against Los Angeles Chargers.
If you’re looking for a barn burner, don’t get your hopes up. Apart from a few bottom of the roster battles at tight end, cornerback, wide receiver, and along the defensive line, there is little to be determined by this game. For the most part, starters will get rest and prepare themselves for the grind of the regular season that is about to begin.
One notable thing to watch is that the rookie wide receiver Parris Campbell practiced this week, and the coaching staff spoke about possibly getting him some snaps in this game to gauge his readiness for week one. Even if Campbell does play, don’t expect him to be on the field long.
The good news is, once this game is over, we are in the thick of it and the games will count. The wait is nearly over!
