Defensive end Jabaal Sheard continues to miss practice, he has been out with a knee injury since the second day of training camp. Defensive end Kemoko Turay misses his second practice in a row with a nagging neck injury.
Running back Jonathan Williams managed to practice in a limited capacity after not practicing at all since the final preseason game, his rib injury seems to be improving.
Linebacker Zaire Franklin appears on the injury report for the first time, a hip injury caused him to not participate in practice today. Safety Clayton Geathers continues to have his weekly rest, this should continue throughout the season to help manage his health.
Both wide receiver Deon Cain and cornerback Ryan Lewis were limited today due to heat related issues. This isn’t something to be too worried about as it shouldn’t affect their practice status for tomorrow or game status for the weekend.
