Injury Update: Colts DE Sheard, RB Williams ruled out; Turay a game time decision

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Chargers Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports

Unlike this time last year, the Colts have gotten into week two relatively healthy, with just 3 players significantly impacted by injury this week.

Frank Reich spoke with the media today and said that DE Jabaal Sheard would again miss, as would RB Johnathan Williams. Both were unavailable last week as well, Sheard with his knee injury and Williams with a rib injury.

Sheard has been present at practice recently, which is an improvement, and the hope is that we will begin seeing him soon, but he won’t play this weekend against the Titans.

Another player to watch closely, Kemoko Turay was not ruled out for Sunday, but hasn’t practiced all week with a neck issue. T.Y. Hilton played frequently last season despite missing all week in practice, so it isn’t out of the question that Turay could see the field. It should be noted though, that T.Y. Hilton is a rare breed, and not a second year player.

It would be a little bit surprising if we see him get significant action on Sunday. Check back later for the official injury report.
