All NFL players come to a point in the career when it’s time to say goodbye. Unfortunately for Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri, it appears now could be that time.
The NFL’s all time leading scorer now has converted 1 of 3 field goal attempts, and 2-5 of his extra points.
Adam Vinatieri, who missed 2 extra points; walked out the locker room only to say, “You’ll hear from me tomorrow.” When reminded players’ day off he said, “Yeah you will (hear from me Monday”— Mike Wells (@MikeWellsNFL) September 15, 2019
The 46 year-old kicker did not speak much with media after the game, but did state “you’ll hear from me tomorrow.”
While it’s still speculation that a retirement conference could happen on Monday, it’s likely a safe bet. Countless times Vinatieri stated that he would play as long as he “felt good, and wasn’t a detriment to the team.”
Sadly, that time has come. Stay tuned to Stampedeblue.com for updates as the news unfolds.
