Earlier this week we were officially made aware that Jabaal Sheard and Jonathan Williams were ruled out for the Indianapolis Colts Week 1 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers. Fortunately, it appears that the Colts have enough depth at, both, defensive end and running back this year to where these two being sidelined may not hurt the team too much in their first game of the 2019 season.
We also saw that Kemoko Turay and Jordan Wilkins were listed as questionable, and that may have affected today’s game. Turay would have been a larger issue against a Chargers’ offensive line that looks to be in bad shape, but that extra back will indeed be nice to have.
However, the Colts, on their first West Coast road trip of the year, have announced the rest of their inactives. Maybe a bit of a surprise decision is that of Tyquan Lewis who never made the injury report through this week of practice, but Wilkins and Turay will be dressing after all.

On the other hand, the Los Angeles Chargers virtually had most of their inactives already decided heading into today’s game. Trevor Williams was already ruled out, but Jatavis Brown, Roderic Teamer, Geremy Davis, and Michael Badgley were designated as doubtful as well. Denzel Perryman, Drue Tranquill were listed as questionable, and now the team has announced who, besides Williams, will miss Week 1.
Tranquill and Perryman will indeed be playing today, but the rest of the names above have made it to the inactive list for Week 1.
