Colts-Browns announce Week 5 inactives: Anthony Walker will suit up, play critical role in Leonard’s absence

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Indianapolis Colts Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Heading into their Week 5 matchup with the Cleveland Browns, the Indianapolis Colts are more banged up than they have been to this point in the season. The loss of Paris Campbell and Marlon Mack have certainly affected the offense, but now with Darius Leonard and Anthony Castonzo being ruled out earlier in the week, the Colts face real challenges as a unit on both sides of the ball.

It’s fair to say that the Colts will face their truest test of the young season in Cleveland, but it’s possible with their roster taking shots like this, they just may be outmanned in this one. We’ll see if the Colts actually have depth on the offensive line today, which had previously had the league’s longest streak of starting with the same five up to today.

Additionally, with Bobby Okereke suffering a thumb injury in Week 4 and Anthony Walker being listed as questionable earlier in the week, their beat up linebacking corps will have their hands full against one of the best running teams in the NFL thus far.

Both Okereke and Walker are active which is great news, but the linebackers will be a position to watch throughout the game. Otherwise, though, the Colts’ inactives are unremarkable.

How can the Colts run the ball, and how well were they able to stop the run, will be the likely story when this one is all said and done.

Here are the Browns’ Week 5 inactives:

WR Taywan Taylor

CB Greedy Williams

S Karl Joseph

LB Tae Davis

G Evan Brown

DT Larry Ogunjobi
