Tight end Mo Alie-Cox did not practice today with a knee injury. Alie-Cox was seen by members of the Colts media limping during the Browns game. Alie-Cox did not figure heavily in the game against the Browns as he was just targeted once and had zero receptions. Alie-Cox has been a big part of the Colts offense this year and had to step up in place of both Jack Doyle and Trey Burton at times. He will be one to watch this week.
Defensive tackle Denico Autry did not practice today with an ankle/knee injury. Autry injured his ankle/knee in the Browns game and had to leave the game because of the injury. He did however manage to return to the game and finish the game so it would appear this is more precautionary than anything. Autry is the Colts starting defensive end and has been a major cog in the defensive line this year, transitioning over from defensive tackle.
Safety Julian Blackmon missed practice today with a groin injury. Blackmon picked up the injury in the Browns game and had to leave due to it. Blackmon did return to the game and managed to finish the game. When Blackmon spoke to the media Tuesday he said he would be good to go Sunday so it looks to be another precautionary measure.
Tight end Trey Burton missed practice today with a scheduled rest day. Burton was only elevated from injured reserve not too long ago after sustaining a strained calf in training camp. Burton had a rest day at the beginning of last week and this should be a trend moving forward until he regains full health.
Defensive end Justin Houston did not practice today with a hip injury. Houston picked up the hip injury in the Browns game but managed to finish the game. Houston also spoke to the media on Tuesday and mentioned that he would be able to go Sunday so again this looks to be on the precautionary side.
Darius Leonard continues to miss practice this week with the groin injury he picked up in the Bears game week 4. Leonard missed the Browns game last Sunday due to the groin injury and looks to be heading in the same direction this week unless he can managed to up his practice activity tomorrow and Friday.
Left tackle Anthony Castonzo managed to put in a limited practice today after missing practice and last Sunday’s game against the Browns with a rub injury. Castonzo managing to pracice, albeit it being limited, is great news for the Colts who sorely missed him Sunday in their 32-23 loss to the Browns. Castonzo is the teams franchise left tackle and one of the best and most irreplaceable offensive players.
Running back Jordan WIlkins only practiced in a limited capacity today due to a calf injury. Wilkins is a hugely underrated running back for the Colts who plays extremely well in the smaller amount of snaps he gets. Wilkins is a great special teamer and back up running back who always seems to make a play when the ball is in his hands. Wilkins is also a veteran back up to rookie Jonatahn Taylor.
