The Indianapolis Colts are set to square up with the Detroit Lions following their Week 7 bye. The Colts currently stand at 4-2 (0-1 AFC South), and are getting a 3-3 Lions club coming off a one-point victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7.
The Colts are getting back rookie WR Michael Pittman to the active roster, and while his role in this one is yet to be determined, the Philip Rivers led offense needs another weapon for the back end of the season.
As far as how the Colts are coming into this matchup otherwise, the team announced that TE Mo Alie-Cox, and center Ryan Kelly were both questionable. On the other hand, the Colts’ defensive leader, Darius Leonard had a full week of practice this week and the bulk of any other players missing practice time was either non-injury related or were simply rest days.
In a nutshell the bye week was very good to the Colts, and the team is 2-0 following their bye under Frank Reich. The team won’t have Kemoko Turay as many of us had hoped, but the Colts are getting production from their pass rush in his absence — not to the level they have hoped for, but are still creating opportunities for a defense that has forced a league-high 10 interceptions.
The great news for today’s Week 8 matchup is that Alie-Cox, and Kelly will both be active, and the inactive list is remarkably moot in terms of playmakers dressing for a pivotal game for the Colts season.
This is great news for the Colts’ offensive line, as well for the team’s skill position group with the hopes of making a statement coming out of their bye week as the offense has been largely average to this point.

As far as the Lions, they are largely healthy to this point in the season as well, and here are their Week 8 inactives against the Colts:
