Indianapolis Colts linebacker E.J. Speed has been named the AFC’s Special Teams Player of the Week following his blocked punt during this past Thursday night’s win against the Tennessee Titans—which led to a 6-yard T.J. Carrie touchdown return late in the 3rd quarter:

The 2019 5th round pick of the Colts played in 54% of the Colts’ special teams snaps in Week 10 and used his ‘speed’ and long arms (33 ‘1/4”) to help block/disrupt Tennessee punter Trevor Daniel’s punt attempt—as he timed his jump perfectly:

The 25 year old reserve remains an intriguing developmental linebacker for the Colts with his physical tools, and he made his impact felt during special teams on primetime—in a big way for Indianapolis.
