The Indianapolis Colts today released their final injury report for week 12 of the NFL season.
Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner has tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday and was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list ruling him OUT for Sunday. With Buckner testing positive he will have to isolate for 10-14 days depending on whether he gets any symptoms. Not having Buckner against the Titans Sunday will be a huge loss, especially going up against Titans running back Derrick Henry.
Defensive end Denico Autry remains on the Reserve/COVID-19 list so continues to be OUT this week. Autry was a big loss last week against the Packers and will be an even bigger loss this week against the potent Titans rushing attack.
Linebacker Bobby Okereke has been ruled OUT with an ankle injury for Sunday. Okereke will be another big loss for the Colts defense. Okereke although starts at SAM linebacker he slides over to MIKE during passing downs and is a big part of the Colts coverage. With Okereke out it is most likely that Walker will remain at his MIKE position during passing downs also and Zaire Franklin to replace him on early run downs.
Center Ryan Kelly is QUESTIONABLE for Sunday with a neck injury. Kelly has not managed to practice all week due to the neck injury. Kelly has managed to play in a game this year against the Lions in which he did not practice in the run up to it. If Kelly cannot play Sunday look for rookie offensive lineman Danny Pinter to start in place of him.
Guard Quenton Nelson is QUESTIONABLE for Sunday’s game with back and ankle injuries. Nelson did manage to practice in a limited capacity today but missed both Wednesday and Thursday practice due to the injuries. If Nelson cannot play Sunday it will likely be Danny Pinter who replaces him but if both Kelly and Nelson cannot play then it make be Le’Raven Clark that ends up replacing Nelson which would be less than ideal.
Wide receiver Zach Pascal is QUESTIONABLE for Sunday with knee and foot injuries. Pascal only managed to practice in a limited capacity today after missing the rest of the weeks practices. If Pascal cannot play Sunday expect the Colts to go with Hilton, Pittman and Marcus Johnson as the main three wide receiver set.
Quarterback Philip Rivers is listed as QUESTIONABLE for Sunday with a toe injury. Rivers injured his toe blocking a defender on a rushing play against the Packers. Rivers missed practice both on Wednesday and Thursday before practicing in a limited capacity today. Frank Reich spoke to the media today saying that Rivers should be good to go on Sunday.
Safety Khari Willis is QUESTIONABLE for Sunday with rib and shoulder injuries. Willis injured his ribs against the Titans in week 10 but managed to play against the Packers last week. With Willis managing to practice fully today it looks very likely he will be able to play on Sunday. However, if Willis cannot play expect Tavon Wilson to step into his starting role.
Linebacker Anthony Walker is also QUESTIONABLE for Sunday with a rib injury. Walker practice fully all week but is still listed as QUESTIONABLE. The Colts need Walker this week to step into Okereke’s role with him being listed as out. Walker is more than likely to play Sunday with him practicing all week but if he cannot play expect Zaire Franklin to play in his place.
