AFC South Roundup: Week 15

NFL: Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

Tennessee Titans (9-4)

Score this Week: Beat Jaguars 31-10

I could go the easy way and say that Derrick Henry was like a man among boys against the Jaguars, but that would not do the massacre witnessed on the field justice. Henry against the Jags gives me similar vibes to what T.Y does against the Texans. It’s like whenever they faceoff you just know Henry will go off. The Titans’ running game is looking even better than last season, and Henry has not missed a step.

Injuries: Cornerback Breon Borders placed on IR

I thought Borders had a really nice game against the Colts at LOS before being exposed by Mayfield and the Browns. His injury hurts a depleted Titans’ secondary even more.

Looking ahead: Vs. Detroit

Detroit has been better since firing Matt Patricia, but this is a game the Titans should, and probably will, win easily.

Houston Texans (4-9)

Score this Week: Lost to Bears 7-36

Yikes, the Texans look rough. Last week’s game against the Colts was probably their best game in the entire season, and they came crashing down to reality rather quickly. Their defense is pathetic, while their offense just cannot move the ball consistently. I’ll admit it, I am a little disappointed in Watson this season, as even with a mediocre supporting cast, I expected more from him.

Injuries: Safety Justin Reid already ruled out, Cooks, Gaines, questionable

Safety Justin Reid is among the few Texans’ defensive players I actually recognize by name, so his presence will be missed against a Colts’ passing game that is starting to click. Brandin Cooks and cornerback Gaines are both questionable but expected to play.

Looking ahead: @Colts

Tough matchup for the Texans, who will travel to Indy to face a red-hot Colts team that is coming off their best win of the season. Houston always seems to find an extra gear when playing the Colts, especially considering they can spoil their playoff run, but the difference in talent is just too much to overcome.

Jacksonville Jaguars (1-12)

Score this Week: Lost to Titans 10-31

Well, another week, another loss for the Jaguars. After such a promising start to the season, things have surely unraveled rather quickly for Duval, as right now they can only hope that the Jets manage to win a game (highly unlikely, I think there is a bigger chance of Reich kicking a field goal from the one-yard line than that happening) so they can get Trevor Lawrence.

Injuries: Brandon Linder already ruled out

Starting center Brandon Linder has already been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Ravens. Whoever is at quarterback for the Jaguars will be in for a tough time.

Looking ahead: @Baltimore

The Ravens love to run the ball, and the Jaguars just can’t stop it. This is a nightmare matchup for a Jags’ defense that is collapsing.
