Defensiven lineman Denico Autry and defensive end Justin Houston both missed practice today due to a scheduled rest day. Houston has been getting regular rest days each week to help prevent wear and tear issues. Autry has been getting rest days since he came off the teams Reserve/COVID-19 list earlier in the season. Both should return to practice tomorrow.
Tight end Mo Alie-Cox missed practice today with a knee injury. Alie-Cox had been dealing with a knee injury earlier in the year but had looked to have bounced back. It appears Alie-Cox may have suffered a set back with his knee injury. Alie-Cox will be one to monitored this week.
Tight end Trey Burton missed practice today with a knee injury. Burton had been having scheduled rest days since he was on injured reserve with a calf strain. With Alie-Cox also struggling with an injury having Burton miss practice too is problematic. Burton is another one to be monitored this week.
Left tackle Anthony Castonzo missed practice with a knee injury. Castonzo injured his MCL against the Titans a few weeks ago and had missed time with it. He returned to playing last Sunday against the Raiders. It appears the Colts are being cautious with Castonzo and he will return to practice tomorrow but it needs to be monitored as Chaz Green isn’t a very good back up option.
Quarterback Philip Rivers missed practice with a foot injury. Rivers has been getting practice time off since he injured his foot against the Packers earlier in the year. Rivers will likely return to practice tomorrow. Even though he has missed practices this year he has played every game this year.
Linebacker Darius Leonard practiced fully today. Leonard left the Raiders game late in the 4th quarter with a back injury. Cornerback Xavier Rhodes practiced fully today also, after leaving the Raiders game with a knee injury. By their practice status today it appears the injuries are not serious and Leonard and Rhodes should be good to go Sunday should they continue practicing.
Punter Rigoberto Sanchez returned to practice today. Sanchez practiced fully after missing the last two games with an illness. Sanchez missed the last 2 weeks after the team found a cancerous tumour in his leg and he had to have surgery to remove it. Seeing Sanchez return to practice is great news and gives him a big chance of returning to playing on Sunday.
