The Indianapolis Colts announced on Wednesday that the team has signed offensive guard Sam Jones to the team’s practice squad.

The 2018 6th round pick of the Denver Broncos out of Arizona State had also been a member of the Arizona Cardinals practice squad and offseason roster (2019-2020).

At 6’5”, 305 pounds, Jones has appeared in 5 games—all with the Broncos in 2018.

Per Colts.com, “Collegiately, Jones started 25-of-32 games as a guard at Arizona State from 2014-17. He was an Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 Conference choice in 2017.”

The Colts had an open practice squad spot, as linebacker Chris Covington was recently released from the team’s taxi squad earlier this week.
