Left tackle Anthony Castonzo has been ruled OUT for Sunday’s game against the Texans. Castonzo injured his knee against the Titans and after the game was diagnosed with a MCL injury. Castonzon will miss his second game of the year after already missing the game against the Browns earlier in the season. The way the Colts replace Castonzo at left tackle will be vital to the Colts offense being productive on Sunday.
Linebacker Bobby Okereke has been ruled OUT for Sunday. Okereke will now have missed the last two game with an ankle injury. Okereke is a big part of the Colts defense as he defends both the run and pass so well. Okereke listed as the starter at SAM linebacker but moved over to MIKE linebacker in nickel packages. Anthony Walker will have to continue to stay at MIKE linebacker on all three downs with Okereke out.
Punter Rigoberto Sanchez has been ruled OUT with an illness for Sunday. Sanchez was diagnosed with a cancerous tumour in his leg earlier in the week and had surgery to remove the tumour on Tuesday. Sanchez will miss his first game of the season due to the illness. The Colts signed free agent punter Ryan Allen to the practice squad earlier this week in case Sanchez couldn’t play Sunday. Expect to see Allen promoted to the active roster for Sunday’s game today or tomorrow.
Safety Khari Willis has been ruled OUT with back and quad injuries for Sunday. Willis is a massive part of the Colts secondary. He plays both the pass and run so well and will be missed on Sunday against the Texans who boast both good passing and rushing oprtons on offense. With Willis out Sunday it looks like veteran safety Tavon Wilson will slide into the starting role at safety.
Offensice tackle Chaz Green is QUESTIONABLE with a back injury for Sunday. Green missed two practices this week but did manage to practice fully today which gives him a chance to play Sunday. With the Colts down Anthony Castonzo the team needs all the help it can get especially at the tackle spot.
Tight end Noah Togiai is QUESTIONABLE with a knee injury for Sunday’s game against the Texans. Togiai was not on the injury report until today when he was limited due to a knee injury. Togiai has been inactive for most of the year as the Colts have elected to go with three tight ends active for game days.
