The Indianapolis Colts have announced two coaching additions: Matt Raich as assistant defensive line coach and Jerrod Johnson as offensive quality control coach.
Matt Raich comes over to the Colts to help coach the defensive line alongside recent coaching addition Brian Baker. Raich was most recently co-defensive coordinator for the Seattle Battlehawks of the XFL, but also spent 16 years coaching in the NFL for teams such as the Detroit Lions, Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jerrod Johnson will assist on the offensive side of the ball. Johnson was previously part of the Colts staff in 2019 as part of the NFL’s Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship initiative. Johnson previously worked with the San Francisco 49ers in 2017 as part of the same initiative. Johnson has NFL experience as a player with the Eagles, Steelers, Cowboys, Ravens and Bears. Johnson also spent time as an offensive coordinator and Quarterbacks/Wide Receivers coach at St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas.
