Chris Ballard and his scouting department added competition along the interior of the defensive line with a solid athlete who could be coached up on some of the technical aspects of the game. He is projected to compete for reps at 3-tech and will likely start out having to make the team by adding to special teams.

He was projected as a 6th-7th round pick in the 2020 Anthony Arena Memorial NFL draft guide. As the prospect scouting report notes, he is a hard worker with athletic ability who could benefit from professional coaching. He is likely a practice squad candidate as a rookie with a bigger role potentially in 2021 given that only DeForest Buckner is under contract in the primary defensive line rotations as of now.

It’s possible that his greatest value is the ability to play inside and out. It will be interesting to see how he his developed.

We will share more as we learn more.
