Options other than Clowney

There has been a lot of talk about the Colts signing Clowney at EDGE. Whether it's a writer or fans, people are talking. Here are a couple of options that would be lower cost and maybe just as effective. These guys are rumored to be cut by their teams:

Melvin Ingram , EDGE, Chargers - Ingram was the #1 pick in 2012 by the Chargers. He has averaged 7+ sacks the past 5 years. His cap hit this year is 16.63 million. Still in his prime years. The Chargers are going to sign Bosa to a major deal so Ingram looks to be moved for the $$.

Ryan Kerrigan, EDGE, Washington Redskins - 31 year old vet, has averaged 10 sacks the past 9 seasons, 4x pro bowler, 11.7 million cap hit in 2020. With the Redskins drafting Sweat last year and Young this year, Kerrigan is more than likely getting cut (or traded). He's an older player but still has the 'juice".

Either one of these guys could be had on a cheaper contract than Clowney and stat wise look to be just as effective.
