Colts Injury Report: Julian Blackmon only one ruled OUT

NFL: Combine Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Indianapolis Colts released their final injury report for week 1 today.

Safety Julian Blackmon has been ruled OUT for the Colts week 1 matchup with the Jaguars. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as he was limited all week with the ACL injury that he suffered in December. The Colts should be fine at the position as they have adequate depth with Hooker, Willis, Odum and Wilson all fit and healthy.

Linebacker Matthew Adams is QUESTIONABLE with an ankle injury after two days of limited practice but managed to practice fully on Friday so it’s a high possibility he is healthy enough to play.

The good news is that Quenton Nelson returned to practice today and practiced fully after not practicing yesterday with a back injury. Nelson joins the rest of the offensive lineman who also had missed practice in Anthony Castonzo and Ryan Kelly in not having a game injury designation. This is the best possible news for the Colts as the offense’s production runs through the offensive line.

Three Colts veterans had a rest day today; wide receiver TY Hilton, defensive lineman Denico Autry and defensive end Justin Houston. This also happened last year and will likely continue throughout the year to give the veterans that extra time to recover.
