The Indianapolis Colts are set to kick off their 2020 schedule against a very overlooked Jacksonville Jaguars squad today at TIAA Bank Field. And now it’s time to see who the Colts will not be dressing in their Week 1 matchup.

We found out yesterday that Julian Blackmon would not be going today after being “limited” throughout the week. Aside from Kemoko Turay being out at least 6 weeks, the Colts have been relatively healthy given all of the changes to camp, and preseason limitations.

Quenton Nelson gave Colts’ fans a bit of a scare when he was out of practice on Thursday with a back issue, but its seriousness was quickly downplayed, and he was a full go on Friday which seems to confirm that assumption.

With some interested eyes to see just who the Colts would initially have on the inactive list, we’ve now got our first group.

And today’s group don’t appear to hold any surprises for us to analyze. Rookie quarterback Jacob Eason, newly acquired defensive tackle Eli Ankou, and tight end Noah Togiai would appear to be reasonably obvious selections.

I would say it’s interesting that the Colts will only be carrying two tight ends, with Trey Burton out on Injured Reserve at the moment. It will be fun to watch the different personnel packages the Colts use with five active receivers, and a full set of running backs being active today. With the Colts having so many special teams contributors, Dezmon Patmon found himself on the outside looking in his first game of his rookie season.

We will update the Jaguars’ inactives as they come in.
