Roster Update: SAF Hooker and WR Campbell to IR and CB Smith and SAF Campbell to Active Roster

The Indianapolis Colts today made a handful of roster moves today. Safety Malik Hooker has been placed on injured reserve along with wide receiver Parris Campbell. Cornerback Tremon Smith and safety Ibraheim Campbell have been elevated from the practice squad to the 53 man roster.

Hooker was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round of 2017 NFL Draft has started 35 of 36 career games and produced 123 tackles, 11 passes defended, 7 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries in his 4 years with the team. Hooker heads to injured reserve after tearing his achilles in the week 2 game against the Vikings. Hooker will be out for the season.

P. Campbell was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft and has appeared in 9 games with 5 starts in his 2 years with the team producing 24 catches for 298 yards and a touchdown. Campbell had a injury plagued rookie year was looking for to bounce back in his sophmore season in the league but instead will be heading to injured reserve after spraining his MCL and PCL in the week 2 game against the Vikings. Campbell will be out indefinitely.

Smith was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Smith has played for the Chiefs, Packers and Eagles before signing for the Colts practice squad in early September.

Campbell was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Campbell has played in 53 games for the Browns, Texans, Cowboys, Jets and Titans before signing for the Colts practice squad in early September.
