The Indianapolis Colts are coming into their Week 3 matchup with the New York Jets in pretty good shape injury wise. Largely the Colts are in a very similar situation to that of last week as Rock Ya-Sin is on the shelf again this week with illness, and Matthew Adams was placed on Injured Reserve earlier in the week with an ankle injury.
The end of the week featured some good and, not-so-good revelations. Jack Doyle finished the week with a full participation in practice making him questionable for today’s game, while DeForest Buckner showed up on the injury report Friday as a non-participant with a back issue.
Buckner’s injury doesn’t appear to be anything serious for the simple fact that the team didn’t give him any sort of a designation heading into the game today. While having Doyle back will be a big help, the team found that Mo Alie-Cox is more than capable of carrying the load at the position in Week 2, and he may have to do it again this week regardless of Doyle being able to go today.
Additionally, Julian Blackmon, who made some noise last week, was limited all week nursing his knee injury. Blackmon didn’t receive a designation previous to today either which lends some good news for the safety corps this week.
Doyle, Blackmon, and Buckner will all be active today but their issues will be something to keep an eye on throughout the game today.

For the Jets, Breshad Perriman and Jamison Crowder being inactive should take some of the pressure off of the Colts’ secondary who will have backups getting a lot of snaps for a second straight week. Also, Quincy Wilson won’t be active today either, which is a shame. Now we’re not going to be able to see how good he is when he’s not just covering grass.
