Colts Injury Report: Rock Ya-Sin Returns to Practice

NFL: SEP 13 Colts at Jaguars

The Indianapolis Colts today released their Wednesday injury report for week 4 of the NFL season.

Big news today on the injury report today as starting cornerback Rock Ya-Sin returned to practice, managing a limited practice, after missing all of last week with an illness. The Colts have lacked depth at the cornerback position in Ya-Sin’s absence however the Colts free agent additions Xavier Rhodes and TJ Carrie have more than stepped up with him sidelined. Getting Ya-Sin back will be a huge bonus this week especially as the team will be going up against the Bears quality receivers.

Running back Nyheim Hines is a new addition to the injury report appearing for the first time this year with a shoulder injury. Hines has been great both running and catching the ball and has been an important player in the Colts backfield, even more so with Marlon Mack landing on injured reserve. Hines was limited in practice today so will be one to monitor going forward this week.

Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr did not practice today and this should not come as a surprise after Pittman had surgery on Monday after injuring his calf on Sunday. Frank Reich confirmed media reports that Pittman has compartment leg syndrome and will likely be out for a bit while he recovers.

Not listed on the injury report were tight end Trey Burton and defensive tackle Sheldon Day, even though they practiced in a limited capacity today. The reason they did not feature on the injury report is because Burton and Day are still on injured reserve, therefore do not need to be listed on the teams injury report which is for the 53 man roster only.
