With ‘super wild card weekend’ safely in the books, the Indianapolis Colts now know where the team will be picking in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft: the 21st overall pick (should the franchise not trade out of it)—following Saturday’s close playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills:

The Colts have long-term needs at quarterback, wide receiver, left tackle, defensive end, and cornerback, and the team could withstand to get more explosive at tight end as well.

Regarding the 21st overall pick, the Colts have never selected a player at that spot in franchise history—even dating back to their Baltimore days.

Armed with a projected $58.38M of cap space and pick #21, the Colts have the opportunity this offseason to shore up some of the team’s roster needs both now and for the foreseeable future.

It’ll be interesting to see what general manager Chris Ballard has in mind.
