According to multiple reports, Appalachian State cornerbacks coach James Rowe will be filling the vacant position on the Indianapolis Colts coaching staff—as former Indy defensive backs coach Jonathan Gannon recently joined Nick Sirianni with the Philadelphia Eagles (among other Colts coaches):
Can confirm @AlbertBreer report that former Eagles assistant Press Taylor is joining Colts staff and @ForTheCOLTure report that former Washington Football Team and Appalachian State assistant James Rowe will be CBs coach

Rowe completed his first season as Appalachian State’s cornerbacks coach, having previously served as the Washington Football Team’s assistant defensive backs coach (2017-19).
Prior to that, Rowe was the defensive coordinator at Valdosta State in 2016, where he helped coach none other than Colts standout slot cornerback Kenny Moore into a collegiate First-Team All-American.
Rowe was also previously a defensive grad assistant at Florida University (2015) and was a coach at Jacksonville University (2012-14). He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Bethel (TN).
While Moore will be a familiar face for Rowe, he’ll be tasked with helping Colts 3rd-year cornerback Rock Ya-Sin overcome a ‘sophomore slump’, as well as acclimate the return of Marvell Tell from a year off because of COVID-19 concerns.
It’s unclear at this time whether veteran soon-to-be free agents Xavier Rhodes and T.J. Carrie will return for the Colts in 2021—meaning there could be some new faces for Indianapolis in the cornerback mix next season.
