Colts announce playoff inactives vs Bills: T Will Holden and CB Rock Ya-Sin among most notable

NFL: Green Bay Packers at Indianapolis Colts Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Indianapolis Colts released their inactives list for Saturday’s wild card matchup vs. the Buffalo Bills.

The team will be without starting cornerback Rock Ya-Sin, defensive end Ben Banogu, quarterback Jacob Eason, wide receiver Dezmon Patmon, and tight end Noah Togiai.

Ya-Sin remains in concussion protocol, but his loss shouldn’t be overlooked. Even though he’s had some struggles this season, it’s important to note that the Colts’ cornerback depth isn’t the greatest. As has been the case the last few weeks, T.J. Carrie will fill in for Ya-Sin.

The Colts will also be without backup offensive tackle Will Holden, too. Holden filled in for Anthony Castonzo against the Steelers, but missed last week's matchup vs Jacksonville with an ankle injury. As a result, the team signed veteran tackle Jared Veldheer.

Veldheer did a nice job filling in for Castonzo last week, helping pave the way for Jonathan Taylor’s record-breaking, 253-yard rushing performance against the Jaguars. Veldheer will remain the Colts’ starting left tackle for the foreseeable future.

Aside from Ya-Sin and Holden, the other notable inactive is Ben Banogu. The second-year defensive end has been a healthy scratch for some time now.

Other than that, the team is extremely healthy for today’s playoff matchup.
