Marlon Mack, running back, Colts, on 5%> of rosters
Mack is worth a waiver claim based on two different scenarios: Either Taylor goes down with an injury that forces him out for a couple of weeks, or if he is traded to a running back-needy team like the Ravens. With Taylor healthy, there is just no upside for Mack, but if either of those scenarios unfolds then he could very easily become a solid RB2.
Darrel Williams, running back, Chiefs, on 10%> of rosters
With starting running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire out for at least a couple of games with an MCL sprain, Williams is definitely worth a pickup if your starting running backs are struggling. The Chiefs will most likely roll out a running back by committee approach but Williams looks in place to carry most of the workload.
Michael Pittman Jr., wide receiver, Colts, on 80%> of rosters
Seriously, how is MPJ available in more than 20% of fantasy football leagues? Pittman paces the team in targets and has over 12 points in each of the last 4 games. As the connection with Wentz continues to improve over the upcoming weeks, and an easier schedule coming up while Pittman cements himself as the #1 receiver, his value will only go up, it is not normal for a potential WR1 to be available on so many leagues.
Dalton Schultz, tight end, Cowboys, on 70%> of rosters
Schultz has become one of Dak Prescott’s favorite targets in a crowded offense, getting 23 targets over the past 3 games. Even if the scoring production is not there based on how many mouths there are to feed in the Cowboys offense, Schultz seems to have found a nice consistent role and is worth a pickup if still there.
Taylor Heinicke, quarterback, WFT, on 15%> of rosters
Panic not Russell Wilson owners, for I bring you the next big thing: Taylor Heinicke. While he might be a mediocre passer, his numbers on the ground mean that his floor is much higher than other starting quarterbacks available in most leagues and before a rough outing against the Saints, Heinicke was putting up really solid numbers.
Kadarius Toney, wide receiver, Giants, on 5%> of rosters
The rookie wideout exploded for an impressive 10-189-0 line before being ejected for throwing a punch at a rival. Toney has been evaluated for a leg injury that is worth monitoring, but in such a decimated Giants’ offense, the volume for Toney and his homerun potential make him an enticing choice.
