Indianapolis Colts punter Rigoberto Sanchez was named ‘AFC Special Teams Player of the Week’ for his Week 4 standout efforts against the Miami Dolphins—in a 27-17 horseshoe victory:

It’s the first time receiving such an honor in Sanchez’s 5-year career.

Sanchez punted the football four times for 200 total punt yards (averaging 50.0 yards per punt) this past Sunday—including a long punt of 57 yards and two punts that were pinned within the Dolphins’ own 20-yard line respectively.

On the season, in 4 starts, Sanchez is averaging a career best 47.8 yards per punt, including 5 punts pinned within the opponent’s 20-yard line.

The 27 year old may be reaching his peak as a punter.
