DraftKings Sportsbook has Colts as 10-point favorites against Jets on Thursday Night Football

NFL: Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Indianapolis Colts will face the hapless New York Jets in primetime on Thursday night. After failing to capitalize on yet another opportunity to win a key game on Sunday against the Tennesse Titans, Indianapolis has no choice but to win a lot of football games. Stating that the Colts cannot afford to lose against the Jets is true but it’s just as important that the Colts get wins against playoff-caliber opponents like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills later this season.

With that said, the Colts are facing a team without a lot of weapons on either side of the ball and without an easily identifiable strength. Rookie running back Michael Carter has been very productive recently, showing some promise for the future. Journeyman backup Mike White has outperformed any reasonable expectation of him. It isn’t a stretch to say that, for the Jets, those are probably the two most exciting names on the roster right now.

Losing on national television against the Jets at home would be embarrassing. DraftKings agrees and currently reflects the Colts at 10-point favorites.
