Earlier this week former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck comeback rumors were spread around the internet like wildfire.
According to the team’s owner Jim Irsay, Luck has no intentions on returning. In fact - Luck is even more retired now than he was last year.
“I’ll say this, Colts fans really need to digest this fact that (Luck’s) more retired now than he was a year and a half ago,” Irsay told Chris Widlic of CBS. “He is retired. I mean, only Andrew knows of course, because it’s his decision. But I can only say he definitely is retired and there’s really no wiggle room or rumor, as much as people would like to hear that.
“Believe me, I wish it was true and I was hiding some big announcement that was coming two days from now, but that’s just not the case.”

This news is unfortunate to some fans who held out hope that the 31 year-old would return to lead the Colts to a Super bowl. That said, Irsay’s comments should provide the closure needed to move on to the next chapter in Indianapolis.
