When considering how the Indianapolis Colts have fared through one day of reported agreements and deals being made, you only need to ask yourself one question:
Is Chris Ballard still the general manager of the Indianapolis Colts?

The answer is yes. Chris Ballard is still the general manager of the Indianapolis Colts. Therefore the Indianapolis Colts get an A+ during day one of the Legal Tampering period.
Very few teams actually get much better during the first few days of free agency. Most of the guys who agreed to deals today will be cut just in time for the 2023 legal tampering period to begin.
Don’t be silly. Nobody wins games in March.
In before someone asserts that I’m implying that no free agents could help the Colts and that I’m an idiot who doesn’t understand team building.
So the Colts get an A+ because Jim Irsay hired Chris Ballard. They’ll also be getting an A+ tomorrow too. I watched Bill Polian work. I watched Ryan Grigson work. I’m watching Chris Ballard work and given the examples I’ve had the chance to follow closely, the Colts get an A+ as long as Ballard is calling the shots, until he loses his mind and drafts a guard in the top ten... maybe I’ll just trust him regardless.
Enjoy watching other teams make bad decisions!
