According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Indianapolis Colts are scheduled to host Kansas City Chiefs free agent wide receiver Sammy Watkins on Wednesday:
Free-agent WR Sammy Watkins is scheduled to visit the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday after Tuesday’s trip to Baltimore with the Ravens, per sources. Watkins also has drawn some interest from the Titans and Texans.

The 27 year old wideout is coming off a 2020 season catching passes from Patrick Mahomes in which he caught 37 receptions for 421 receiving yards (11.4 ypr. avg.) and 2 touchdown receptions during 10 games (9 starts).
Watkins has 321 receptions for 4,665 receiving yards (14.5 ypr. avg.) and 33 touchdown receptions during 86 career games (82 starts), which includes three seasons with the Buffalo Bills, one season with the Los Angeles Rams, and the past three seasons in Kansas City.
The former 4th overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft hasn’t quite lived up to his draft billing out of Clemson—as he’s also battled some injuries (having started all 16 games just once in his career), but he’s still managed to become a fairly productive starting caliber NFL wideout when fully healthy.
That being said, Colts fans would assuredly rather see the franchise re-sign beloved longtime veteran wideout T.Y. Hilton over Watkins at this point of the offseason, but perhaps the potential two signings wouldn’t have to be mutually exclusive.
Regardless, the Colts could use some help at wide receiver this offseason, and it appears they’re in the mix for the big named veteran wideout Watkins.
