Andrew Aziz’s 7 Round Colts Mock Draft (One & Only)

Author’s Note: The following draft was done using the PFF Draft Simulator

1st Round Pick - 21st Overall
Traded to Miami Dolphins along with a 2022 4th Round Pick for 36th and 50th Overall Pick

2nd Round Pick - 36th Overall
Dillon Radunz - Offensive Tackle - North Dakota State

I love Radunz and his attitude; he should be a perfect fit in the Colts’ offense next to Quenton Nelson. I find his technique is refined and he has good experience in North Dakota State’s offense. He should be a day 1 starter for the Colts and has a very good chance to stick for many years at that spot.

2nd Round Pick - 50th Overall
Ronnie Perkins - Edge Defender - Oklahoma

The second part of the original deal is also a hit as the Colts get a top 30 player in Ronnie Perkins. Perkins is explosive with a great first step, he possesses good bend and can consistently win outside and get to the quarterback. The Colts need more athletic defensive ends and Perkins checks all the boxes.

2nd Round Pick - 54th Overall
Eric Stokes - Cornerback - Georgia

Stokes is a good, long zone corner with good ball skills and instincts. I can see him being a very good complimentary cornerback to Kenny Moore and Xavier Rhodes and he could be a good outside cornerback when the Colts go to nickel and dime packages.

4th Round Pick - 127th Overall
Jamin Davis - Linebacker - Kentucky

The Colts could use a solid, athletic #3 linebacker in their base defenses. Davis is a good fit and can be a good replacement for Anthony Walker. Davis is one of the 60 best players in this draft so getting him at 127 is a steal.

5th Round Pick - 165th Overall
Josh Palmer - Wide Receiver - Tennessee

Palmer showed flashes of brilliance at Tennessee and I think with the right development he could be a very capable starting receiver in most schemes. He has a good body and frame and would’ve been a lot more productive (and therefore popular) if he had good, consistent quarterback play. This could be a steal for the Colts.

6th Round Pick - 206th Overall
John Bates - Tight End - Boise State

The Colts need a #3 tight end with Trey Burton gone and Bates is a big bodied developmental player with good athleticism. He has shown great ability as a pass catcher, although consistency needs to come and he’s still raw as a blocker. It might take 2-3 years, but he can become a quality starter in the NFL.

7th Round Pick - 248th Overall
Drew Dalman - Interior Offensive Lineman - Stanford

The Colts could use some competition for Danny Pinter, Chris Reed and Joey Hunt and that’s what Dalman provides. If he doesn’t stick, he could be a good practice squad player and eventually a versatile #6 offensive linemen.
