The Indianapolis Colts waived-injured tight end Noah Togiai on Tuesday, as the team got down to the required 80-player roster limit. If Togiai remains unclaimed on waivers, he’ll revert back to the Colts injured reserve (*at least in the short-term).
Togiai was initially claimed off waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles last offseason, after the team’s final 53-man roster cuts, and appeared in 4 games for Indianapolis during 2020.
One of the greatest abilities is availability though, and unfortunately Togiai wasn’t healthy enough to seriously compete and push for a final 53-man roster spot in what’s already a pretty deep tight end room right now with reliable veteran Jack Doyle, the blossoming big bodied Mo-Alie Cox, and intriguing receiving rookie Kylen Granson.
