Tennessee Titans (0-1)
Score this Week: Lost 13-38 Vs. Cardinals
In some positive news for the Colts’ playoff hopes, the Titans were destroyed by the Arizona Cardinals. Derrick Henry could not get anything going throughout the game and Ryan Tannehill struggled with turnovers and pressure from Chandler Jones (who got 5 sacks!). The Titans' defense failed to contain the explosive Kyler Murray, who tore the pathetic Titans defense apart. Not a great start to the season for Tennessee.
Injury Report
Wide receiver Josh Reynolds and safety Amani Hooker are both questionable for the next game. Other than that, the Titans are as healthy as it gets, with no significant starters injured.
Next Week: @Seahawks
Tough game awaiting the Titans, as we Colts’ fans are familiar with how strong the Seahawks can be. The matchup does not favor the Titans at all, as Seattle is really good at stopping the run, and Russel Wilson will have a field day against a mediocre Titans secondary.
Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1)
Score this Week: Lost 21-37 @Texans
The Urban Meyer era in Jacksonville got off to a rocky start after being blown out by inarguably the worst roster in the NFL. The Texans were up 27-7 at the half, and the final score is skewed by a meaningless last-second touchdown pass by Trevor Lawrence. The Jaguars' defense was awful on 3rd down, allowing 12-21 conversions and they had twice as many penalties as the Texans. Lawrence looked sharp until he threw two consecutive picks, allowing Houston to escape with the win. Any hope for an average season is probably lost now, as reality sets in for the Jaguars that they simply do not have a talented roster.
Injury Report
Cornerback Tre Herndon and defensive end Jordan Smith are both questionable for the next game with knee injuries.
Next Week: Vs. Broncos
Another easy game on paper, that could prove tricky for the Jaguars. The offensive line had a good game against Houston, but blocking against Whitney Mercilus and Jordan Jenkins is one thing while blocking against Von Miller and Bradley Chubb is a completely different story. It will be interesting to see how Lawrence fares against a much better defense.
Houston Texans (1-0)
Score this Week: Won 37-21 Vs. Jaguars
The Houston Texans are leading the division! Honestly, who would have thought? Hats off, great game by the Texans, led by an efficient Tyrod Taylor, an electric Brandin Cooks, and a stout pass defense. However, don’t get your hopes up Houston fans, as this is probably one of the two or three wins you are getting this season.
Injury Report
Kevin Pierre-Louis and Jonathan Greenard are both questionable for the next game. It seems like the rest of the AFCS is having a ton of luck with injuries, luck that the Colts are not having.
Next Week: @Browns
Tough stop for Houston at the Dawg Pound to face the Cleveland Browns fresh off a tough loss against Kansas City. Probably this will be a back to reality moment for the Texans, and I can honestly say I give them absolutely no chance of winning this one.
