Stampede Blue Staff: Whatever happened to...the Offensive Tackles of 2021

This is an open letter to the writing staff and editor of Stampede Blue to do a follow-up piece on the Offensive Tackle class of 2021. There were a ton of articles spread across so many sites and frequently visited on the fan posts here that pertained to the 2021 Tackle class and the perceived need (ok, desperate need) of a replacement for AC at the Left OT.

As we all know, the choice ended up being rotten, out dated Fisch.

This is not a "what if" request, rather, how did the top 10ish tackles in that draft fair this year? Were there any standout surprises or colossal disappointments?

Leatherwood for the Raiders comes to mind as his usefulness was better suited to mediocre success at guard (except when playing the Colts, where he did above average work).

The "what if" might be answered secondary asking if any of the options on the table through the draft would have improved our lot or did they experience the rookie downers?

Further, it might be worth exploring the various veterans that we skipped over. How did they do on the season?

If the editorial staff chooses not to engage this discussion, it would still be interesting to hear from the fan base and pick their collective knowledge.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.
