It took 61 selections before a team finally drafted Alabama running back Eddie Lacy. Backs Gio Bernard, Montee Ball, and Le'Von Bell were all taken ahead of Lacy.

For picks 44-53, the big surprise was the Pittsburgh Steelers passing on Alabama's Eddie Lacy and opting instead for Michigan State running back Le'Von Bell. Colts fans were hoping Bell would fall to the third round.

The Giants passed on linebacker Arthur Brown and took Ohio State defensive tackle Jonathan Hankins.

Ten picks into the second round, and we already have two trades and two big selections. The trades involved the Titans moving up to No. 34 to take Justin Hunter and the Chargers moving up to No. 38 to select Manti T'eo.

Geno Smith decided to return to the draft after it was reported he wouldn't when he was passed over in round one. Good decision, because the Jets used their No. 39 overall pick on Smith.

To celebrate the selection, Mark Sanchez butt fumbled.

On the second day of the 2013 NFL Draft, 32 former NFL players will announce the draft selections in the second and third rounders for the respective teams they played for. One of those former players is one-time Colts left tackle Tarik Glenn, who was draft No. 19 overall in the 1997 NFL Draft.

Glenn's starting quarterback at the time he was drafted: Jim Harbaugh.

The Colts have just one selection on the second day at pick No. 86 overall.

Interesting note on the former players, via a story from FOX Sports' Alex Marvez, nine of them that will make selections today at Radio City Music Hall are among the over 4,100 former players currently suing the NFL for concussions and head injuries allegedly suffered during their playing days.Of the nine are former Cardinals running back Larry Centers and former Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter.

Tarik Glenn is not named as a plaintiff in the former players case.

The second and third rounds of the NFL draft are here!

The first round of the 2013 NFL Draft was one of the the weirder ones ever. No running backs were selected in the first round, which was a draft record. Eight offensive linemen went in the first twenty picks, also a record. As many quarterbacks got selected in round one ("as many" being just one, E.J. Manuel) as centers (one, Travis Fredrick to the Cowboys).

Nine offensive linemen in the first round, total. Wow.

Day two begins with quarterbacks like Geno Smith, Ryan Nassib, and Matt Barkley still on the board.

The Colts do not pick until round three, No. 86 overall. We discussed players they could target here. Key needs going forward include:

Wide receiver

Offensive line

Running back

Corner

Safety

Some players to keep in mind for Indianapolis at No. 86 include Tennessee's Dallas Thomas or Michigan State's Le'Veon Bell.

It's also possible that the Colts could continue to stockpile pass rushers. If Auburn's Corey Lemonier falls to the third round, he's someone the Colts could have a strong interest in.
